Remember those Latino Christmas living room parties? The ones where the music was always playing, somebody was yelling over a game, the food kept coming, and nobody was in a rush to go home?
Yeah, we're bringing that energy back.
Welcome to Otra Navidad en la Sala, a little holiday nostalgia, a little cultura, and a whole lot of community. We're turning the Guava House living room into the kind of Christmas gathering we grew up with (or wish we had).
Here's what's going down:
🎴 Lotería, of course! Get ready for some friendly competition, loud reactions, and everyone holding their breath waiting for that last card. You know the drill.
🎶 Reggaeton y más. A playlist mixing your favorite old-school and new-age reggaeton artists. We'll leave a little room to dance, just in case the mood strikes.
📺 Sábado Gigante on the big screen. Because let's be honest, what Latino household didn't have this on during the weekends?
💬 Open Mic: Chisme Edition. Got some juicy chisme to share? The mic is yours! No names necessary, just enough details to keep us invested. We'll let the crowd decide whose story takes the crown, and a little prize goes to the comadre with the juiciest chisme. ¡No nos dejes con la duda!

Come hungry! We'll have small, holiday-themed appetizers, a mocktail station for those who like their fun alcohol-free, and warm ponche navideño (traditional Mexican Christmas punch) to keep you cozy.

That outfit you've been saving for a special occasion? This is it. Sequins, sparkle, festive fits, or whatever makes you feel good. Come ready to show off a little because we'll have a few photo-worthy spots to capture the look. And yes, there will be more than just the couch.
